Located in the Chouf mountains, Ecovilalge was host to our recent PAL event. An hours drive from Beirut, and a short trip down a bumpy road in a four wheel drive truck, we arrived to the beautiful forested valley. Ecovillage is an ecotourism project great for education and bringing people closer to nature.
After a delicious vegan lunch and dessert, all of the volunteers - and a few four legged friends - went on a hike through the forest. Arriving at the river, we had a fun time jumping in the refreshing water even though we all forgot to bring our swimming suits.
Our volunteers are such an important part of Animals lebanon, and this relaxing day away from the city was just one small way to show our appreciation.
